Why am I being so vain as to write a post about myself? I’d like this to be a blog of substance, so why the narcissm? I’ll try to justify this post by saying briefly that
- There may actually be people interested in my life
- There may be quite a few people out there whose lives or hopes are similar to mine. If this is the case, please comment! I’d love to hear from you.
I’ve just finished studying accounting and finance. I went back to school (for various reasons) after a one-year stint in the Corporate World. I plan on never going back there.
I’d rather do more fulfilling work – this blog is one. I’d like to talk with people about happiness, frugality, aspirations, and all those fun things – for a living! I don’t mind getting paid a bit less to do work I enjoy.
I’m also starting another business. But most importantly, my day job is in a lowly inbound contact centre. I’m not looking to join a Graduate Entry position – I’ll hopefully be able to get a promotion in 6months, be a team leader and reduce my hours at work, while increasing my hours on this blog! All this while living in lovely but expensive Melbourne.
Do you think I’m crazy? Or is anyone out there doing something similar?
